Friends & People Living with AIDS Association

Empowering Lives. Building Futures. Restoring Dignity.

For over two decades, we have stood beside individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS , providing care, advocating for rights, and building a world free from stigma and fear.

WHO WE ARE

Our Vision, Mission & Values

Vision

A resilient, inclusive society where every individual enjoys full health and social rights, free from infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS. This includes universal, non-discriminatory access to healthcare, protection, education, and essential services.

Mission

Empowering vulnerable and marginalized groups – including those living with HIV/AIDS, women, children, persons with disabilities, and the displaced – through integrated humanitarian assistance in health, protection, WASH, food security, education, and nutrition.

Our Core Values

Credibility

Absolute commitment to transparency and professionalism in all our actions.

Integrity

Upholding respect for justice, fairness, and accountability in every decision.

Transparency

Ensuring clarity in resource management and decision-making processes.

Efficiency

Continuously enhancing capacities for effective, sustainable impact.

Spirit of Volunteerism

Fostering community initiatives as a fundamental lever for positive change.

Strategic Objectives

Our work is guided by six core strategic pillars designed to create lasting impact.

Integrated Humanitarian Services

Health clinics, protection centers, and emergency relief for displaced communities in conflict zones.

Reduce HIV/AIDS Infections

Decrease new infections by 30% through community testing, educational workshops, and targeted awareness campaigns.

Protect Women & Marginalized Groups

Legal support, GBV prevention programs, and inclusive community mobilization in underserved regions.

Expand Geographic Reach

Extend to 5+ additional localities by 2025, prioritizing high HIV/AIDS prevalence and limited-service areas.

Build Community Capacity

Capacity building workshops, volunteer training, and sustainable development initiatives for local leaders.

Improve Quality of Life

Antiretroviral therapy access, nutritional assistance, livelihood training, and peer support networks.

FEATURED INITIATIVE

Cholera Awareness Campaign

In partnership with the Health Promotion Directorate and Jasmar Organization for Human Security, F&PLWA launched a campaign addressing the serious health risks of improper Eid sacrifice waste disposal during a cholera outbreak.

The Risk

Improper disposal leads to water contamination, bacterial spread, and increased disease-carrying insects raising cholera transmission risk.

The Message

Follow official disposal guidelines, use designated collection areas, avoid dumping near water sources, and maintain personal hygiene.

The Goal

A healthy, safe Eid celebration through everyone's commitment to public health and environmental responsibility.

GENDER & WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

Empowering Women & Advancing Communities

At F&PLWA, gender equality and women's rights are essential to sustainable development and social justice. Through our Gender and Development (GDA) initiatives, we stand with women affected by HIV/AIDS, displacement, and poverty.

Building Capacity. Strengthening Partnerships.

F&PLWA successfully conducted a Capacity Building and Sustainable Development Workshop for its members, strengthening skills in organizational management, project planning, fundraising, and community engagement.
